Self-service analytics
I design each dashboard around a decision and define the numbers behind it. If you want, I build the first version myself.

Which parts
What I build
What a self-service setup includes
Decision views
A weekly view built around one decision.
Trusted inputs
Clean inputs so the numbers match across teams.
Shared definitions
One shared set of metric definitions anyone can read.
Self-serve drill-down
Filters and drill-downs so a team can ask the next question without a ticket.
How it works
Choose design only, or design and build
Part one, always
Architect-lead
I design the dashboards, set the metric definitions, and direct whoever builds them, your team or a vendor.
Dashboard design for the questions you pick, metric definitions and success measures, and a review of each dashboard before it ships
Part two, added on top
Architect-lead plus hands-on build
Everything in part one, and I build the dashboards you choose myself. Costs more, because it is more of my time.
Working dashboards, not only a design, for the ones you choose, with a hand-off so your team can extend them
Hands-on build always comes with the architect-lead work. You can take the design on its own.
Proof
Dashboards I have built
1
Twelve decision dashboards for a subscription business
Built in Tableau and with Claude on Vercel. Business health tracking, a support customer lookup, marketing spend and channel attribution, a target-CPA tool, a sales conversion monitor, a lifecycle growth view and cohort LTV.
2
A planning model teams can rerun themselves
A three-year forecast where teams enter planned features with an expected lift and the model reruns. Used for annual and long-range planning.
3
One KPI view across many product teams
Built at multiple companies. Standard top-line KPIs so every product is judged the same way, with a drill-down to the next level when something looks off and no custom analysis per team.
4
Questions answered without an analyst
A customer lookup for support and channel views for marketing let those teams check numbers themselves, with definitions shown beside each metric.
Fit
When this fits
Works well when
You know which decisions your team needs to make from the data, and want dashboards it can use without an analyst.
Skip this if
You want a dashboard tool installed with no decision behind it. If you are not sure what is wrong, start with the Bottleneck Diagnostic.
